Workout
5 minutes to get warm
Then:
3×15 Bulgarian Bag Halos (each direction)
Then:
3x (1-5) DB Strict Press Team Ladder
Hold DBs in OH position while other players go
Mobilize in between sets
Then:
Work up to 1RM Bench Press (5 sets)
Then:
5×10 Close-Grip Bench Press
rest 2-3 minutes between sets
Then:
DB Man-Maker
10×1 @ 2×15# DBs
Rest 10s between reps
10×1 @ 2×25# DBs
Rest 10s between reps
10×1 @ 2x>30# DBs
Rest 15s between reps
Then:
Cool Down

Coach’s Comments
Congratulations to all the Go Primal teams who ran in this year’s USMC Mud Run. Go Primal 1 got 3rd place in the All Male division and 4th overall out of 1434 teams! Go Primal 8 (Women’s 1st team) got 2nd place in the All Female division! We had 5 teams in the top 20 of their categories. Well done.

This year’s course was very good. Thirty-four pretty challenging obstacles. Team work was a must. No shortage of mud either.


The best part of the weekend is being together with everyone. Watching their hard work pay off. Feeling proud. Doing something with our fitness.
