15x Bulgarian Bag Halos (each direction) +
10x Goblet Squats (40, 50, 60) +
5x Tuck Jump
3 sets (to warm-up)
Then:
2x Weighted Pull-up + 90s Rest
10 sets
Then:
Mobility – 4 minute Squat Stretch
Then:
Work up on Snatch-Grip Deadlift (work the hook!!!)
10-8-5-5
Then:
12-9-6-3
Clean-Grip Deadlift @ Final Snatch-Grip DL load +
Dips (scale up to ring dips if possible)
Then:
Cool Down

15-minutes to work up to a difficult single and do 5×1

Today we played with Snatch-Grip Deadlifts. The version of the deadlift challenges the grip and requires more range of motion through the hips and spine to set up to the barbell on the floor. It's a fantastic movement though. I was pleasantly surprised at how well everyone did. Overall our athletes have really made some great strides in their movement competency.
