COACH’S COMMENTS
A lot of people are easily offended. Which made me think…what is it that causes people to be offended? I’m genuinely curious. Is it when someone verbalizes a contrasting view from your own or does something in direct opposition to what you do or have done and you take offense? And because those words or actions are outside your own views, it feels like a personal attack?

But to have no views, options, or biases is boring and inhuman (i.e. not natural). The world would be flat, rhetorically speaking. So what gives?

Perhaps if you’re offended by something you should look inward…for that is the real source for the feelings you are experiencing?

But if you feel the need to verbalize your disdain about something I said, go for it. I will not be offended. I really don’t care. At all.
